Abstract

This paper provides a comprehensive examination of the intricate relationship between deregulation and public policy. Deregulation, characterized by the reduction or elimination of government restrictions on various industries, has been a prominent aspect of economic and political discourse. The study delves into the impact of deregulation on public policy, exploring its implications on sectors such as finance, telecommunications, and energy. By employing a multi-disciplinary approach, the paper assesses the historical context, benefits and challenges of deregulation, emphasizing the need for a nuanced understanding of its effects on public policy. Additionally, the paper scrutinizes case studies and empirical evidence to unravel the complexities associated with deregulation and its implications for regulatory frameworks, consumer protection, and overall governance. Through this analysis, the paper aims to contribute to the ongoing discourse surrounding deregulation and its role in shaping public policy.
