The International Journal of Intelligent Data and Machine Learning (IJIDML) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, integrity, and transparency. All participants in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere strictly to these standards, in alignment with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting to IJIDML must:

1.1 Originality and Plagiarism

  • Submit only original work not previously published or under review elsewhere.

  • Properly cite all sources and references.

  • Avoid plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or duplicate publication.

  • All submissions may be screened using plagiarism detection software.

1.2 Authorship and Contribution

  • Authorship must reflect significant intellectual contribution to the work.

  • All authors must approve the final manuscript and agree to submission.

  • Changes to authorship after submission require written consent from all authors.

1.3 Data Integrity and Reproducibility

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data.

  • Avoid fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting.

  • Make raw data available upon reasonable request.

1.4 Conflicts of Interest

  • Disclose any financial, professional, or personal conflicts of interest.

  • Clearly acknowledge all funding sources.

1.5 Ethical Use of Data and AI Tools

  • Data collection and use must comply with ethical standards and legal requirements.

  • Use of AI, machine learning models, or automated tools must be transparent.

  • Address fairness, bias, and reproducibility considerations in computational research.

2. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors of IJIDML are responsible for:

  • Making decisions based solely on scholarly merit and relevance.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of manuscripts.

  • Recusing themselves in case of conflicts of interest.

  • Investigating ethical concerns, allegations of misconduct, or complaints following COPE procedures.

3. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining quality and ethical standards:

  • Treat all manuscripts as confidential.

  • Provide objective, unbiased, and constructive feedback.

  • Complete reviews within agreed timeframes or communicate delays.

  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and decline reviews when impartiality is compromised.

4. Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher supports ethical publishing practices by:

  • Ensuring editorial independence.

  • Handling corrections, retractions, and ethical issues transparently.

  • Preserving permanent access to all published content.

5. Handling Misconduct

Allegations of misconduct (plagiarism, data manipulation, unethical practices) are investigated rigorously:

  • Actions may include rejection, correction, retraction, or notification to the authors’ institutions.

  • Retractions and corrections are clearly published and linked to the original article.

6. Ethical Compliance Statement

By submitting to IJIDML, authors confirm that they:

  • Understand and agree to comply with this Publication Ethics Statement.

  • Uphold all ethical principles outlined by COPE.
