2. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors of IJIDML are responsible for:

  • Making decisions based solely on scholarly merit and relevance.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of manuscripts.

  • Recusing themselves in case of conflicts of interest.

  • Investigating ethical concerns, allegations of misconduct, or complaints following COPE procedures.

3. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining quality and ethical standards:

  • Treat all manuscripts as confidential.

  • Provide objective, unbiased, and constructive feedback.

  • Complete reviews within agreed timeframes or communicate delays.

  • Disclose any conflicts of interest and decline reviews when impartiality is compromised.

4. Publisher Responsibilities

The publisher supports ethical publishing practices by:

  • Ensuring editorial independence.

  • Handling corrections, retractions, and ethical issues transparently.

  • Preserving permanent access to all published content.

5. Handling Misconduct

Allegations of misconduct (plagiarism, data manipulation, unethical practices) are investigated rigorously:

  • Actions may include rejection, correction, retraction, or notification to the authors’ institutions.

  • Retractions and corrections are clearly published and linked to the original article.
