The International Journal of Management and Business Development (IJMBD) welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and other scholarly contributions that advance knowledge in management, business development, entrepreneurship, organizational studies, economics, finance, marketing, and related interdisciplinary fields. Authors are requested to carefully follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient submission and peer review process.

1. Scope of the Journal

IJMBD publishes high-quality research in, but not limited to:

2. Manuscript Types

IJMBD accepts the following types of scholarly contributions:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Case Studies / Application Papers

  • Short Communications

All submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration or review by another journal at the time of submission.

3. Manuscript Preparation

3.1 General Formatting

Authors should prepare manuscripts according to the following formatting requirements:

  • Font: 12-point Times New Roman

  • Line spacing: Double-spaced

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Language: English

  • Page numbers should be included throughout the manuscript

3.2 Manuscript Length

The recommended maximum length is:

  • Research articles: maximum 8,000 words (including references)

  • Review articles: maximum 12,000 words

  • Short communications: maximum 4,000 words

Authors should ensure that manuscripts are concise, well-structured, and sufficiently detailed to communicate the research findings clearly.

4. Manuscript Structure

4.1 Title Page

The title page should include:

  • Title of the manuscript

  • Full names of all authors

  • Institutional affiliations

  • Corresponding author’s email address

  • ORCID iD, where available

4.2 Abstract

  • Maximum 250 words

  • The abstract should clearly summarize the research purpose, methodology, major findings, and conclusions

  • Avoid unnecessary references and unexplained abbreviations in the abstract

4.3 Keywords

Authors should provide 4–6 keywords that accurately represent the main themes and subject areas of the manuscript.

4.4 Main Text

Research manuscripts should generally be organized using the following sections, where applicable:

  • Introduction

  • Literature Review / Related Work

  • Research Objectives / Questions

  • Methodology

  • Data Collection and Analysis

  • Results / Findings

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • Recommendations and Future Research

The exact structure may be adapted according to the nature and methodology of the submitted manuscript.

4.5 Acknowledgments (Optional)

Authors may acknowledge:

  • Funding agencies

  • Institutional support

  • Research assistance

  • Other contributions that do not qualify for authorship

4.6 References

  • References should follow APA citation style

  • All sources cited in the text must appear in the reference list

  • All references listed should be cited within the manuscript

  • Authors should ensure that bibliographic information is complete and accurate

  • DOI information should be included where available

5. Figures and Tables

  • Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively and cited appropriately in the main text

  • Each figure and table should have a clear and descriptive title or caption

  • Tables should be presented in an organized and readable format

  • Figures should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi

  • Accepted image formats include JPEG, PNG, and TIFF

  • Authors must ensure that all figures, tables, and other visual materials are either original or used with appropriate permission and attribution

6. Mathematical Expressions, Models, and Statistical Analysis

Where applicable:

  • Mathematical equations should be clearly formatted and numbered sequentially

  • Statistical methods should be described sufficiently to allow readers to understand and evaluate the analysis

  • Variables, symbols, and statistical measures should be clearly defined

  • Analytical models and frameworks should be presented consistently

  • Tables containing statistical results should include appropriate labels and explanatory notes where necessary

7. Ethical Considerations

Authors are required to comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy.

Authors should:

  • Ensure that the submitted work is original

  • Properly acknowledge and cite all sources

  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest

  • Disclose relevant funding sources

  • Obtain appropriate ethical approval where research involves human participants, personal information, or other sensitive data

  • Ensure that research involving organizations, employees, customers, or other participants follows applicable ethical and legal requirements

  • Obtain appropriate permissions for copyrighted materials where required

8. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal’s online submission system

  • Authors should ensure that the submitted manuscript complies with the journal’s Author Guidelines

  • Authors may suggest potential reviewers where permitted

  • All submissions undergo initial editorial screening before being considered for peer review

  • Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s basic requirements may be returned to authors for correction before further processing

9. Peer Review Process

  • IJMBD follows a double-blind peer review process

  • Manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, scholarly quality, methodological soundness, relevance to the journal’s scope, clarity, and overall academic contribution

  • The editorial team may request revisions based on reviewer and editorial comments

  • Final publication decisions are made by the editorial team based on the peer review process and the journal’s editorial standards

10. Article Processing Fees

  • IJMBD follows an open-access publishing model

  • Readers can access published articles without subscription or access charges

  • An Article Processing Fee (APF), if applicable, is charged only after acceptance of the manuscript

  • Submission and peer review do not guarantee acceptance or publication

  • Detailed information regarding applicable fees, waivers, or related policies is provided in the Article Processing Fees section

11. Copyright and Open Access

  • Authors retain copyright of their published work, subject to the terms of the applicable publication agreement

  • Published articles are made freely accessible under the journal’s Open Access Policy

  • Authors may share and disseminate their published work in accordance with the applicable open-access licensing terms

  • Any reuse of published material should provide appropriate attribution to the original author(s) and the journal

12. Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere

  • The manuscript is not simultaneously submitted to another journal

  • All listed authors have made appropriate contributions to the research

  • All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript

  • All sources and relevant contributions are properly acknowledged

  • Conflicts of interest and funding information are disclosed where applicable

  • The information and data presented in the manuscript are accurate to the best of the authors’ knowledge
