To support the journal's editorial and publishing operations, an Article Processing Fee (APF) is charged for manuscripts accepted for publication.
1. Open Access Model
IJMBD operates under a full open-access publishing model, meaning that all published articles are freely accessible online without subscription or access fees for readers.
The Article Processing Fee supports the costs associated with editorial management, peer review administration, manuscript processing, production, typesetting, online publication, website maintenance, digital preservation, and long-term archiving.
The APF is charged only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.
2. Fee Structure
Standard Article Processing Fee

A standard Article Processing Fee of USD 450 is applicable per accepted manuscript.

The fee is payable after acceptance and before the final publication of the article.

No APF is required at the initial manuscript submission stage.
Discounts and Waivers
IJMBD may consider partial or full fee waivers or discounts in appropriate circumstances, including:

Authors from low- and middle-income countries

Students and early-career researchers

Research with significant academic, social, or practical relevance

Other exceptional circumstances considered by the editorial team
Requests for an APF waiver or discount should be submitted during the manuscript submission stage and should include a brief explanation or justification.
Approval of any waiver or discount is subject to the discretion of the editorial team and does not guarantee acceptance or publication of the manuscript.
3. Payment Process

Authors will receive payment instructions after their manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

Payment methods may include bank transfer or available online payment methods provided by the journal.

Authors should provide appropriate payment confirmation or receipt where requested.

The manuscript will proceed to final production and publication after all applicable fees have been received and verified.
4. Refund Policy

Article Processing Fees are generally non-refundable once the manuscript has entered the production or publication stage.

No APF is charged for manuscripts that are rejected during the editorial screening or peer review process.

Where a manuscript is withdrawn before production, any applicable refund request will be considered according to the circumstances and the journal's applicable policies.

Payment of an APF does not create a guarantee of acceptance or publication.
