A Strategic Analysis of Training and Compensation Practices on Employee Organizational Commitment: The Moderating Role of Job Satisfaction in the Banking Sector
Abstract
Employee organizational commitment remains a critical determinant of organizational effectiveness, particularly in the banking sector where service quality, employee retention, and operational consistency are essential for sustainable performance. This study examines the strategic influence of training and compensation practices on organizational commitment, with job satisfaction functioning as a moderating variable. Drawing upon established human resource management theories and empirical findings from the provided literature, the paper explores the interrelationships among employee development, reward systems, satisfaction, and commitment. A research and review approach is employed to synthesize existing knowledge and construct an analytical framework applicable to banking organizations. The findings suggest that training enhances employee competence, engagement, and psychological attachment to the organization, while compensation contributes to perceptions of fairness and value recognition. Furthermore, job satisfaction strengthens the positive relationship between these human resource practices and organizational commitment. The study highlights the strategic importance of integrating training initiatives and compensation systems to cultivate a committed workforce. Practical implications for banking institutions and future research directions are also discussed.
