Abstract

Neural networks have emerged as one of the most influential computational paradigms in modern artificial intelligence, enabling significant advances in pattern recognition, predictive analytics, automation, and intelligent decision-making systems. The growing diversity of neural network architectures has expanded their applicability across engineering, industrial, scientific, and computational domains. This research and review article develops an analytical framework for understanding neural network architectures and evaluating their emerging applications from structural, computational, and functional perspectives. The study synthesizes concepts related to network design, learning mechanisms, optimization strategies, scalability, and application-driven adaptation. A conceptual methodology is proposed to classify neural architectures according to learning capabilities, computational complexity, and deployment requirements. Findings indicate that architectural selection significantly influences model performance, interpretability, efficiency, and generalization capacity. The paper further discusses practical implications, limitations, and future research directions for intelligent systems powered by neural networks. The framework contributes to a systematic understanding of neural architectures and provides guidance for future research and industrial implementation.
