Critique Open Research & Review (CORR)

The Critique Open Research & Review (CORR) journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism and unethical reuse of content are strictly prohibited.

1. Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, figures, tables, or ideas without proper attribution

  • Paraphrasing another work without acknowledgment

  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication

  • Using others’ data, images, or code without credit

2. Originality Requirement

  • All submissions must be original and unpublished.

  • Manuscripts under consideration elsewhere are not accepted.

  • Authors must appropriately cite all related work, including their own prior publications.

3. Plagiarism Detection

  • All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software.

  • Similarity reports are reviewed to ensure originality.

  • Minor similarity due to references or standard terminology is acceptable; substantial overlap is not.

4. Handling Plagiarism

Before Publication

  • Manuscripts with significant plagiarism may be rejected immediately.

  • Minor issues may require revisions with proper citation.

After Publication

  • Published articles found to contain plagiarism may be corrected, retracted, or removed.

  • Retraction notices are linked to the original article.

5. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must:

  • Ensure originality of submitted work

  • Properly cite all sources

  • Disclose any previous publications or overlapping content

6. Responsibilities of Editors and Reviewers

  • Editors and reviewers must report suspected plagiarism.

  • Investigations are handled confidentially and thoroughly.

  • Decisions follow ethical guidelines and due process.

7. Consequences of Plagiarism

Confirmed plagiarism may result in:

  • Rejection of the manuscript

  • Retraction of published articles

  • Notification to the author’s institution or funding body

  • Temporary or permanent ban on future submissions

8. Ethical Compliance

CORR follows the guidelines recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling plagiarism and publication misconduct.
