A Quantitative Assessment Framework for Evaluating the Effectiveness of Standard Operating Procedures on Production Efficiency in MSMEs: Evidence from Bantan Subdistrict
Abstract
The implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is increasingly recognized as a critical determinant of operational efficiency in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in emerging economies. This study develops a quantitative assessment framework to evaluate the effectiveness of SOP implementation on production efficiency in MSMEs located in Bantan Subdistrict. Drawing upon operations management theory and empirical insights from prior MSME studies, the research adopts a structured analytical model incorporating SOP compliance, managerial capability, technological integration, and workforce training as key determinants. Using a quantitative research design, the study employs statistical techniques to analyze relationships between SOP adoption and efficiency indicators such as production output, waste reduction, and process consistency. Findings reveal a significant positive relationship between SOP implementation and production efficiency, moderated by managerial competency and digital adoption. The study contributes to both theoretical advancement and practical policymaking by proposing a scalable framework applicable to MSMEs in similar socio-economic contexts.
