Peer Review Policy

International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanity Development (IJSSHD)

The International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanity Development (IJSSHD) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly quality and integrity. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a rigorous, fair, and transparent peer review process to ensure originality, relevance, and academic merit.

1. Type of Peer Review

  • IJSSHD follows a double-blind peer review process, where:

    • The identities of authors are not disclosed to reviewers.

    • The identities of reviewers are not disclosed to authors.

  • This ensures impartiality and unbiased evaluation.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

  • Upon submission, all manuscripts are screened by the editorial team to assess:

    • Relevance to the journal’s scope

    • Originality and academic quality

    • Compliance with formatting and submission guidelines

    • Ethical compliance and plagiarism checks

  • Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external review.

3. Reviewer Selection

  • Manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

  • Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, research experience, and absence of conflicts of interest.

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and provide objective evaluations.

4. Review Criteria

Reviewers assess manuscripts on the following aspects:

5. Review Outcomes

Authors receive detailed feedback and are expected to address reviewer comments within a specified timeframe.

6. Revision Process

  • Failure to revise in a timely manner may result in rejection.

10. Ethical Oversight and Misconduct

  • Suspected plagiarism, data falsification, or other misconduct is handled according to COPE guidelines.

  • Confirmed cases may result in rejection, retraction, or notification of the authors’ institution.

11. Recognition of Reviewers

  • IJSSHD values the contributions of reviewers and may acknowledge them annually, while maintaining confidentiality unless consent is given.

12. Policy Updates

  • IJSSHD reserves the right to update this Peer Review Policy as required.

  • Authors and reviewers are encouraged to review the policy periodically.
