Instruction For Authors

International Research Journal of Library and Information Sciences (IRJLIS)

The International Research Journal of Library and Information Sciences (IRJLIS) welcomes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and conceptual papers that contribute to the advancement of library and information sciences. Authors are requested to carefully follow the instructions below to ensure smooth processing of their manuscripts.

1. Scope of the Journal

IRJLIS publishes scholarly work related to, but not limited to:

  • Library and information science theory and practice

  • Digital libraries and information systems

  • Knowledge organization and management

  • Information retrieval and data curation

  • Bibliometrics, scientometrics, and informetrics

  • Archival studies and records management

  • Information literacy and user studies

2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Case Studies

  • Short Communications

  • Conceptual and Methodological Papers

3. Manuscript Preparation

3.1 General Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be prepared in English.

  • Use 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced.

  • Maintain 1-inch margins on all sides.

  • Use A4 size paper format.

3.2 Length of Manuscripts

  • Research articles: up to 8,000 words (including references).

  • Review articles: up to 10,000 words.

  • Short communications: up to 3,000 words.

3.3 Structure of the Manuscript

  • Title Page: Title of the manuscript, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author’s email address.

  • Abstract: A concise abstract of no more than 250 words.

  • Keywords: Provide 4–6 keywords.

  • Main Text: Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion.

  • References: Complete list of cited works.

4. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and cited in the text.

  • Each table and figure should include a clear title or caption.

  • Figures should be submitted in high-resolution formats (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF).

5. References and Citation Style

  • IRJLIS follows the APA citation style.

  • Ensure all in-text citations are included in the reference list.

  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of references.

6. Ethical Requirements

  • Submissions must be original and unpublished.

  • Authors must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Plagiarism Policy.

  • Any conflicts of interest and funding sources must be disclosed.

7. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.

  • Authors may suggest potential reviewers; however, final reviewer selection rests with the editor.

8. Peer Review Process

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback.

9. Copyright and Open Access

  • Authors retain copyright of their work.

  • All accepted articles are published under an open-access model.

10. Article Processing Fees

  • An Article Processing Fee (APF) may apply upon acceptance.

  • Details regarding fees and waivers are available on the journal website.
