International Research Journal of Library and Information Sciences (IRJLIS)

The International Research Journal of Library and Information Sciences (IRJLIS) follows an open-access publishing model to ensure free and unrestricted access to scholarly research. To support the costs associated with editorial management, peer review, and online publication, an Article Processing Fee (APF) is applicable for accepted manuscripts.

1. Open Access Publishing

  • IRJLIS provides immediate and permanent open access to all published articles.

  • Readers can freely read, download, copy, distribute, and share published content without subscription fees.

2. Fee Structure

Standard Article Processing Fee

  • Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Fee of USD 450 upon acceptance of their manuscript.

  • The APF covers editorial handling, peer review coordination, plagiarism screening, typesetting, and online publication.

Discounts and Waivers

  • IRJLIS may grant partial or full fee waivers in the following cases:

    • Authors from low- and middle-income countries

    • Students and early-career researchers

    • Exceptional manuscripts of high scholarly value

  • Requests for waivers or discounts must be submitted during the manuscript submission process with appropriate justification.

3. Payment Process

  • Detailed payment instructions are provided to authors after manuscript acceptance.

  • Payment methods may include bank transfer or approved online payment systems.

  • Articles will not be published until the applicable APF has been fully paid.

4. Refund Policy

  • No fees are charged for manuscripts rejected during peer review.

  • Once a manuscript is accepted and enters the production stage, the APF is non-refundable.

5. Use of Fees

Article Processing Fees are used to support:

  • Editorial and peer review management

  • Ethical compliance and plagiarism checks

  • Article production and online hosting

  • Long-term digital archiving and platform maintenance

  • Promotion and dissemination of published research

6. Transparency and Editorial Independence

  • Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit.

  • The ability to pay the APF does not influence acceptance or peer review outcomes.
